From The Desk of EIC HotCupOfBEAST
So you've gotten to feel at home within the Circus, and now you feel it's time to look for a promotion - your "big break", you might say. Well, we encourage this; we want your dedication, loyalty, and trust. So we want to reward those attributes with responsibility. Here at the Gun Circus ranks will work in four steps. That's right, only four. Now we will go over ranks and how to move up within them. We will start with your rank the moment you join TGC.
So you are now a Soldier in one of the divisions of TGC. This means you have joined a diverse family of gamers who enjoy teamwork, having fun, and, yes, winning. When you're a soldier for TGC you will notice straight away that we are one big dysfunctional family. We use the website and many other tools to stay in contact. Once you have been a soldier for a while you might be asking yourself "How do I get promoted?" Well, here are the steps to your first promotion.
Congratulations, you are a TGC Officer. Your rank ribbons will now look like this on the forum.
Being an officer now means you have a leadership role here within TGC. It is a sign of respect fo your loyalty and dedication here within the clan. Also, since you have been spoken for by other officers, this means you have earned some trust within this family. As an officer things are still pretty nice and easy, business as usual. However, to further your ranks to the next level here in TGC, some things might have to change. Do you have other characters? Running with other clans? Before you answer, know that your answer could impact the speed with which you climb the ranks. Here is how you take the next step and become Brass or Commanding Officer.
Congratulations! You have been promoted to one of the highest levels TGC has to offer. This might possibly be the highest rank you will achieve with us here. Having said that, keep your head high, because this rank means you have earned so much trust and respect within the clan, that you now get a say in who goes or stays with this clan, and more power concerning who is promoted. We'll give you some creative control over site content and directions in game expansions, meaning new games TGC could take part in. You will receive moderator powers over the site forums. OK, on to becoming a four star Executive In Charge.
By being a three star Commanding Officer and a part of the Brass of TGC, you have decided you are in this for the long haul. No other clan can be TGC in your eyes and you want TGC to succeed .
So what is the final level? What is an Executive in Charge?
Well, an EIC has moved through the ranks and became a vital part of TGC's operations. You also are prepared to take part in some of TGC's executive decisions regarding sponsors, events, sites, partners, and, at the end of the day, take responsibility if one of the TGC divisions fails. EIC's will have direct contact with other EIC's and at most times some of the Brass. Becoming an EIC is simple...
You must be vouched for and referred by an EIC, then a vote among EIC's will take place. If this vote is not a unanimous YES, then you will stay in consideration for future promotions. At no time will the votes to be released by an EIC as to who voted YES or NO.
On the forums you can tell an EIC because their ribbons will look like this.
Right now in TGC there are only two EIC's

With this all being covered, we are done with the promotions part of TGC. Forum activity is very important, this will only help your cause as you get to know all other soldiers, officers, brass and EIC's.
That being said, every member of TGC active on the forum should put their rank ribbon on their Signature. If you know you're an officer, then put up the officer ribbons, which are both green and black together. All pictures may be taken directly from this post by right clicking the picture, then selecting "Copy Image Location". If someone decides to try and put up their wrong rank, this will be met by demotion, possible forum suspension or the refusal of further relationship with The Gun Circus.
A full list of ranks will be coming soon. If you are not on the officer list, brass list, or EIC list when it is released, this means you fall into the soldier category.
