Well, you know, sometimes the old way is better...even in the uber-progressive world of interactive entertainment.
A patch is coming your way for Battlefield 3 and it will feature a number of upgrades, alterations and enhancements. But one of the most recent changes might come as great news to fans of Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
If you check BF3 game designer Alan Kertz's Twitter page, you'll see that he's working on improving the firing style of semi-automatic weapons. How? By making 'em fire like they did in BC2, of course.
"Working with a coder today to make Semiautomatic weapons fire smoother (like it was in BC2). Still some work to be done, hopefully soon."
It isn't known if this change will be ready for the upcoming patch, which we know includes in-game VOIP, a few changes to the squad and in-game interfaces, and a bunch of nerfs. But what do you think about changing the semi-automatic weapon fire? Did you prefer them in BC2?
There are plenty of other requests from avid gamers; DICE has fielded probably a gazillion multiplayer complaints and suggestions since BF3 hit the market in late October. But that's the bonus of this fancy new generation- game developers can update and make games better on the fly. ...yeah, it's a double-edged sword.
